Thommessen has been selected as Norway IP Firm of the Year 2008

Wednesday 9 April Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) carried out its annual awarding of prizes where Thommessen received the prize for Norway's best intellectual property law firm. Managing Intellectual Property is a well acknowledged publication within intellectual property law, which annually awards prizes to the best intellectual property law firms worldwide. The selection is based on extensive inquiries among rights holders and people in the industry.

The jury's justification:
”Besides ranking in the top bracket for patent and trademark contentious work, general practice firm Thommessen’s 15-strong IP team leads the market in copyright and new media work, advising clients including Microsoft. Clients and piers recommend the firm’s lawyers, in particular partners Jan Morten Evertsen and Arne Ringnes.”
