It is a great pleasure for Thommessen to announce that senior associates Andreas Meidell, Håvard Sandnes and Jacob F Bull have been made partners at Thommessen. These three new partners will contribute to Team Thommessen’s increased focus on areas in which there is increasing demand in the market.

Andreas Meidell (40) received a law degree (Candidate in Jurisprudence) from the University of Bergen in 1996, became a Doctor of Laws in 2003, and has previously worked both as a lawyer and associate university professor. Andreas started at Thommessen in 2005 and has worked with developing the firm’s practice areas within maritime insurance and insurance law. As a partner, Andreas will also be responsible for further developing the firm’s focus on insurance law and “wet” maritime law (assistance in the event of accidents at sea etc). Andreas’s areas of expertise are Shipping and Insurance. |

Håvard Sandnes (39) received a law degree (Candidate in Jurisprudence) from the University of Oslo in 1998. He previously worked at Arntzen de Besche, NHO and was a judge on the Hålogaland Court of Appeal. Håvard became a senior associate at Thommessen in 2007 and has led our efforts to strengthen the employment law practice area. He assists our clients in all matters concerning Employment Law, including conflict management and strategic advice. |

Jacob F Bull (37) received a law degree (Candidate in Jurisprudence) from the University of Oslo in 1998. He started at Thommessen in autumn 2006 after almost six years as a corporate lawyer at Norsk Hydro ASA. He primarily works with projects within oil and gas, industry and renewable energy. As a partner, Jacob will have special responsibility for the firm’s construction law practice with particular focus on development projects within these areas. Jacob’s areas of expertise are Oil and Gas, Construction, and Renewable Energy and Climate Law. |
